The 2011 BMW X3 ranks 4 out of 8 Luxury Compact SUVs. This ranking is based on our analysis of 15 published reviews and test drives of the BMW X3, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The 2011 BMW X3 has higher fuel economy ratings, more standard features and more interior space than previous models, making it an all-around stronger Contender.
For the 2011 model year, BMW has taken the X3 compact luxury back to the drawing board and returned with a SUV That the industry admires.

When We ordered an X3 xDrive28i for our long-term fleet, the BMW supplied its VIN.
Now, our finished Vermillion Red X3 is sitting prominently at the front of the Performance Center in its own glass room. Similarly another are parked X3 and an M3, Whose owners are the ones pointing through the bus windows. Performance Center Delivery costs nothing for customers who've ordered new vehicles, and it includes ground transportation, an overnight stay at a nicely furnished Marriott, dinner and breakfast at the hotel's restaurant.

The 2011 BMW X3 has been fully redesigned. Highlights include an optional turbocharged engine, a standard eight-speed automatic transmission, crisper exterior styling, revised suspension tuning and an updated interior design with the latest iDrive electronics interface.
Thankfully, BMW softened the suspension and upped the power in successive years. An optional adaptive suspension allows the driver to select from three different modes calibrating suspension, throttle, transmission and stability control settings.
The xDrive28i ostensibly replaces last year's xDrive30i, and offers slightly less power, but also a slimmer entry fee. Overall, the make the BMW X3's refinements a prime Contender in the small luxury crossover SUV segment.
