Now in its second model year, the 2011 Porsche Panamera Continues to impress the automotive press with its performance and luxurious interior. Edmunds says, "Yes, the Porsche Panamera truly does deliver the best of Both Worlds: sports car and sedan." First, the automotive press is not in love with the Panamera's appearance. Porsche has a long options list for the Panamera, and tacking on the make options can an already expensive car even pricier.
Second, the Panamera delivers astounding levels of performance for driving enthusiasts. Acceleration from the V8-powered Panamera is impressive, while the performance of the Turbo model is downright shocking. Porsche has not taken time off to enjoy the fruits of the Panamera's success, as new models of the sedan debuted for 2011. The V6-powered Panamera Panamera 4 and optimize fuel efficiency, and in fact these two cars not only increase of EPA-estimated fuel economy but also are exempt from the federal gas-guzzler tax.
Commence semantic quibbling over what the Porsche Panamera is. A wagon? It's fast; faster than any Cadillac CTS-V you can throw at it. True enough, but the Porsche pounds out some 563 pound-feet of torque to the Cadillac's 550 pound-feet. Also true, as our Panamera Turbo weighed in at a portly 4486 pounds, more than 100 pounds heavier than the CTS-V weightiest we've tested and 300 pounds heavier than the lightest. Still does not matter.
