The Ford Fiesta of low-class models from Ford is Celebrating its 35th birthday and the 15 million number the car was out this summer. Cologne, Germany, July 29, 2011 - The Ford Fiesta is Celebrating two milestones in the summer of 2011, Reaching its 35th birthday with a total of 15 million cars produced worldwide. The Ford Fiesta reached the 15 million landmark production this month, a figure boosted by the popularity of the latest generation models. To keep the Fiesta's dynamic styling and customer appeal as fresh as ever, Ford is introducing a number of exterior and interior styling changes.
The economical and practical front-wheel drive small car Quickly caught on in Europe, and the one-millionth  Ford Fiesta model was produced in January 1979. To this day, the Fiesta Continues to be built in Valencia, as well as in Cologne, Germany (the Fiesta major production site), Nanjing, China; Rayong, Thailand (the source of Australian Fiestas), and Cuautitlan, Mexico. Henry Ford II approved the original Fiesta for development in 1972 under the project name 'Bobcat'. The 1976 Ford Fiesta Mk1 was launched as a three-door hatchback.
