Volkswagen Beetle R Concept - Auto Shows review

The Beetle R is coated in Serious Grey paint and sits on 20-inch chrome wheels That blue brake calipers hide. The front now has three intakes styled in gloss black while the rear gets integrated exhaust vents.
A true stunner, the mid-engined Volkswagen Concept R reveals the direction for an expected, future sports car. This 3.2-liter V-6 delivers 260 horsepower to the rear wheels for a brisk 3.5-second 0-60 mph time. A six-speed direct-selection gearbox puts the driver in command, racing to the car's nongoverned 167 mph top speed. For clever show-car features, the Concept R has adjustable springs in the seats .... Volkswagen's Biggest debut in Frankfurt was the production version of the tiny three-door Up!

Volkswagen Concept R, Those rockets wee house an uprated version of VW's ubiquitous 2.0-liter turbo four making 270 hp (Golf) or 265 hp (Scirocco); expect a streetable Beetle R to use the same engine, and to pack a Wallop similar.
At the back, exhaust vents shuttle water from under the car, while a diffuser, four chrome exhaust finishers, and a huge spoiler tell the world That the owner's Bichon Frise Spiked wears a collar. Behind the rims sit blue-painted brake calipers R.
The rockers, front intakes, roof, side-mirror caps, door handles, and the leading edge of the hatch are rendered in a glossy black. The Beetle R's racing-inspired shell seats are cool but Probably a show-car pieces; the inset pads are upholstered in gray nubuck.
