2012 Buick Regal GS Review

It's good, easily the best-driving Buick in Decades. The 2012 Buick Regal GS packs some decidedly un-Buick-like parts. The revamped engine boosts power from 220 horsepower to 270 at 5.300 rpm. Then there's this shock: A six-speed manual comes standard. There's also a pair of 14-inch front disc brakes with Brembo four-piston fixed calipers (rear brakes Remain unchanged). Add to this a three-mode version of Buick's Interactive Drive Control adaptive damper system as well as a hyper Strut front suspension.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 review

According to unconfirmed reports the next-gen 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Will be Offered with a seven-speed manual transmission. Previous rumors have included turbocharging for the new Corvette, having a mid-engine layout and even an all-wheel drive system. But the C7 Corvette arriving with a 7-speed gearbox is highly feasible. Having an extra gear Could Improve fuel efficiency for the iconic sports car and it will from Chevy also allow engineers to tighten up the lower gears for improved performance.

2012 Porsche Carrera GTS First drive

While the 2012 Porsche Carrera GTS Offered a great step up in power and looks, slotting the between the standard rear-drive 911 and the Turbo, thanks to its wide-bodied look and 408-bhp 3.8-liter upgrade over the stock 345-bhp 3.6 -liter flat-6-it was only a matter of time before the German automaker would offer an all-wheel-drive version.

About 9 miles up from the bottom of Glendora Mountain Road in a 2012 Porsche Carrera GTS, it hit me: I'm not working very hard. Translation: I'm hauling ass. By "work so hard," he's referring to the GT3 RS and GT2 RS We tested a couple of months back. Both of Those are little more than thinly Veiled race cars. "A 911's supposed to be an everyday car," Kim Muses.

2012 Audi A6 3.0T quattro review

The 2012 Audi A6 is in town, and it lacks little more to match the Audi's flagship sedan than size of the motor and size in overall dimensions. The new Audi A6 impresses.
Audi engineers Considered not just airflow around the car but also through the engine compartment.
Audi paid attention to detail inside as well. Known for some of the best interiors in the business, evolved its Audi interior design themes with an asymmetrical treatment of the dash, a subtle wave That pulls the dash slightly Towards the front passenger.

2012 BMW i8 Concept review

Building on the core design of the Vision EfficientDynamics Concept Revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show, the BMW Concept i8 is a very futuristic take on the idea of a plug-in hybrid sports car. The clear glass doors, laser headlights, and sculpted, flowing body of work marks the i8 out as something truly unique.

BMW's second-generation 1 Series Will be a 2012 model in Europe and continue to be the only rear-wheel-drive model in the class. All engines in the 1 Series are now with BMW's turbocharged TwinPower turbo - a single dual vane system That reduces turbo lag. Call your BMW dealer and demand for these cars.
The gas engine drives the rear wheels for a perfect 50/50 weigh distribution, but also allowing all-wheel drive Pls Both engines are working.

2012 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ review

The all-new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic is a completely different animal. For the first leg of the trip, We grabbed an Inferno Orange Metallic Sonic LTZ sedan equipped with the top-spec engine: GM's 1.4-liter turbocharged four tuned to 138 horsepower, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The streets of San Francisco afforded plenty of opportunity to test the Sonic's hill hold feature, and it worked as intended. While the LT only sports 16-inch wheels, it felt as confident in the curves as the LTZ fitted with a 17-inch wheel and tire combo. During most of our drive, the Sonic exhibited Relatively low wind and tire noise.

Review : 2012 Honda CR-V Concept

The all-new 2012 Honda CR-V concept was just shown at the Orange County Auto Show in Anaheim this week, and from what we can tell by previous spy shots, the concept looked pretty close to the production model. Honda did a good job of covering up the CR-V's rear windows, so We can not really tell if the pointed rear window is anything like what we've already seen, but if you look closely, the slightly angular D-pillar Might be a dead giveaway.

2012 Mercedes-Benz ML350 review

Driving in Montana changes you, and after just a day here, We have no desire to be in anything Smaller, lighter or less comfortable than the 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML350.

Midsize luxury crossover SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz M-Class have always been good at carrying your stuff, but nobody expects to make-time on back roads. Thanks to more powerful V6 engines and an improved automatic transmission, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML350 and the ML350 BlueTEC diesel quite nicely hustle. The 2012 ML350 is Nearly an inch longer overall (189.1) while its height has come down Nearly an inch (70.7).

2013 BMW M5 review

Is the new 2013 BMW M5 is what we're accustomed to expect from BMW's M division? Um, well, As We discovered During a session in southern Spain, the future of M is big, blustery, red-hot, torque-gushing Smaller turbos fitted to engines with mass-production roots. (Despite employing aluminum doors and an aluminum hood, the new M5's mass creeps to 4300 pounds or so.) So it may not eclipse its predecessor's 158-foot 70-mph-to-0 braking figure.

2012 Volvo S60 review

The 2012 Volvo S60 gains a base model for 2012. Volvo's midsize luxury sedan - curvaceous, modern, coupelike - is one of the snazziest in its class. Volvo's City Safety system, for example, That is a standard feature can automatically stop the car if a low-speed collision is imminent.
A subset of the traditional Volvo buyers expect turbocharged engines, and the S60 offers two of Them for 2011. We're impressed with the 2012 Volvo S60. The 2012 Volvo S60 is a midsize luxury sedan available in two trim levels - the T5 and T6 - that correspond to engine type. The T6 adds a more powerful engine and standard all-wheel drive, plus 18-inch wheels, sport-tuned suspension, different steering tuning (includes selectable settings), leather upholstery and the auto-dimming rearview mirror.

2012 Nissan Versa Review

BMW i8 Review

BMW's supercar, the M1, was sold the between 1978 to 1981 as the only mid-engined BMW to be mass produced. The BMW i8 hybrid sports coupe was spotted recently by Bimmerpost undergoing cold-weather testing somewhere in Northern Europe. Word has it that the i8 hybrid sports coupe will from now come with a gas engine as opposed to the Previously held position of a diesel engine variants.

BMW i8  flagship alternative drive is an advanced four-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid with performance to match the M3 and fuel economy to humble even the most frugal Mini.

2012 Honda Civic review

The  Honda Civic 2012 has been fully redesigned. Highlights include mild styling updates, improved fuel economy and more power for the Si model.
In Addition to conventional sedan and coupe models, the Honda Civic sedan 2012 Will offer a 41-mpg-only HF model, a hybrid sedan, a natural gas model, and Si coupes and sedans.

Fuel economy on the Honda Civic Si 2012 is up from 21/29 mpg city / highway to 31 mpg on the highway for the 2012 car. For the 2012 model year, this means 41 mpg on the highway and, as with the volume of Civic models, a five-speed automatic transmission and 140-horsepower 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine.

2012 Hyundai Veloster First Drive review

We've been driven in the Veloster before and even drove an early prototype in Europe. Carving through hairpin switchbacks scrawled on either side of the Columbia River, We find the 2012 Hyundai Veloster's suspension was more willing than its benign engine. Big weight shifts Will move the rear end, but there's Ample control.
As We skirted the Veloster's performance envelope, stability control never once intervened. We can thank Dave Dutch, senior chassis engineer, for the Veloster's balance of comfort and athleticism - something distinctly lacking in the European Previously We drove a prototype.

Hyundai allows different markets to customize the chassis tuning. Regardless of geography, the 2012 Hyundai Veloster Will Likely youthful turns as many heads as We witnessed it doing in hipster-plagued Portland. Honestly, We think the most casual Observers Will not even realize there's a third door on the Veloster.

Ford Fiesta ST Concept review

Ford saved one surprise for today: the Fiesta ST concept. It's a three-door hatchback, but Ford's global director of performance vehicles, Jost Capito, Inside Line toll That a potential US-spec production version would be a five-door hatchback. (The three-door body style is aimed at Europe, where Ford sold a Fiesta ST three-door in the previous generation.)

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster review

Mercedes-Benz has not been shy about flaunting its upcoming 2012 Mercedes-Benz AMG Roadster SLS. Mercedes says the roadster's Curb weight is 3661 pounds - just 88 pounds more than the gullwing. Behind the seats, engineers have placed a cross-member That serves dual duty as support for the integrated fixed rollover bars and as housing for the Bang & Olufsen sound system subwoofer. AMG says the roadster's bodyshell weighs 536 pounds, just 5 pounds heavier than the bodyshell of the Coupe.

In creating a roadster version of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster, Mercedes-Benz Had to do away with the car's signature gullwing doors, instead of regular old conventional fitting doors. The resulting car is as delightful as the gullwing version, but some people worried That the doors would mean ditching the roadster would lose what is special about the SLS.

2012 Audi A5,A sharp, angular design for the LED daytime running lamps echoes the turbine-blade motif found in the bright trim Surrounding the fog lamps and on the spokes of some of the wheel designs. Slick.
Equipment upgrades abound Beneath the skin as well, including a transition to electromechanical steering assist, said to Improve a combined fuel economy by about 0.8 mpg. This system employs an electric motor that's concentric with the rack for compact packaging.

2012 Audi A5 Drive Select is upgraded to include an efficiency setting That biases transmission shift patters, cruise control logic, climate-control outputs, and even steering assists to Eke out the best possible fuel economy, but it tends to blunt the car's performance a bit, so it may not be included in U.S. models.

2012 Ford Focus ST review -Auto Shows

The little surprise is what you see here: Ford is also building a fantastic-looking wagon, the Ford Focus ST. Sorry.

2012 Ford Focus ST
Like Ford's fleet of Mustang racers, the ST-R does not stray too far from its production counterpart. (Ford even fits pedestrian-Focus door handles to the inside of the ST-R's Otherwise bare-metal doors.) A Focus is already running in the British Touring Car Championship, and of course the Smaller Fiesta is well-known in rally-racing circles and by the Ken Block fan club. 2012 Fisker Surf review

The idea behind Fisker's all-new Surf - the brand's second production model, riding a wave into the 2011 Frankfurt auto show - is simple, According to Henrik Fisker, founder and CEO of Fisker Automotive.

Fisker's publicity materials also refer to the Surf as "a design masterpiece." The Surf's wagon body is obviously new, but Beneath the skin it's all Karma sedan-aluminum space frame, suspension, and electric power train. The battery pack is capable of running the car-be it Karma or Surf-50 miles on electricity alone, According to Fisker.

"(The Surf) is really a kind of merger of a sports car with a station wagon," Fisker said at a private media reveal just before Frankfurt. With the  Fisker Surf , he and his team melded utility, style, and

That power to help get to the ground without jerking the car into the Weeds, the Focus ST Will have a brake-based limited-slip differential, similar to That in the base Focus. (Ford tries to spin it as torque vectoring, but it is not.) Ford Says That the function of this system in the ST Will extend to cornering as well, intervening to limit under steer prior to the activation of stability control. Further aid to reflexes, Ford redesigned fitted anti-roll bars and dropped the 0.4-inch ST Closer to the ground than other Focuses.

2012 Cadillac SRX Review

The 2010 Cadillac SRX did not the make a great first impression on us. So now the 2012 Cadillac SRX receives another engine, the which takes the place of the other two. With a base price of $ 35.185 for the entry-level front-wheel-drive models, the SRX is the least expensive in its class, but it does not have as many standard features as its competitors.

The most significant change to the 2012 Cadillac SRX is not the direct-injection 3.6-liter V6 engine produces 308 horsepower and That 265 pound-feet of torque. For the front-wheel-drive SRX, it delivers EPA-estimated fuel economy of 17 city/24 highway mpg and 19 mpg combined (Subtract 1 mpg in all categories for the all-wheel-drive model), on par with most of its competitors. This engine is now capable of running on E85 fuel. It's easy to find a comfortable seating position in the 2012 Cadillac SRX. Our test model had a power-adjustable seats with thigh extenders. For 2012, Cadillac has made a number of changes to the SRX's suspension setup. The Performance Collection and Premium Collection trim levels come with the "Active Sport" suspension, the which monitors changes in the road surface and adjusts the suspension accordingly. We drove the SRX with Both the standard 18-inch tires and the upgraded 20-inch tires and found Both quite comfortable.
